Publication Ethics & Misconduct statement

Ethics

Every submitted publication must contain an ethics approval statement that specifies the name of the approving institution or institute, as well as the approval number (if applicable) for any conducted human and animal experiments. The research must comply with the ethical principles established in the 2013 edition of the Helsinki Declaration, available at http://www.wma.net/en/30publications/10policies/b3/.

The submitting author should maintain confidentiality of subjects by refraining from including the names of the study participants, initials or the hospital numbers in the study. Authors must indicate adherence to either institutional or national research council guidelines, or relevant national legislation concerning the care and use of evidence for approval by a local Ethics Committee. Authors must give such evidence upon request, applicable to both human and animal studies. In the methodology section, the author should specify whether consent, in written or oral form, was obtained from the study participants.

Policy on Research and Publication Misconduct

The editorial board will meticulously evaluate and address potential publishing misconduct, including duplicate publication, plagiarism, and the use of fraudulent or forged data, photos, or figures. The board will meticulously assess any alterations to authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and ethical issues related to submitted publications. In the event of suspected research or publishing misconduct, the board will comply with the rules and recommendations established by the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE).

Post Publication Policy on Paper Retraction

The Editor-in-Chief has full authority to retract a paper in the following situations:

• When the manuscript showed substantial evidence of the unreliability of the findings secondary to the misconduct in the data fabrication, miscalculation and experimental errors.
• The findings in the manuscript had been published previously without proper cross-referencing, permission, or a valid justification.
• In conditions where the paper discloses unethical research practices.

Conflict of interest

Authors must fully declare any affiliations or interests relevant to their work. Every submitted manuscript must contain a specified 'Conflict of Interest' section located at the end of the document. This section must delineate both financial and non-financial conflicts of interest. If writers possess no conflicts of interest, the declaration must clearly assert: "The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest."

Appeal

Authors may make a formal appeal for rejected manuscripts. To commence the appeal, authors must submit a written request to editor@ijamph.com, ensuring the subject line includes the term "appeal". This appeal must have comprehensive justifications, supplemented by systematic responses to the remarks made by the reviewers and/or the Academic Editor.

Open Access, License and Copyright statement

The International Journal of Advanced Medicine and Public Health (IJAMPH) is an open-access journal. All published articles are freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication.

Authors retain copyright of their published work. Articles published in IJAMPH are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits copying, redistribution, adaptation and reuse of the work, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), the article title, the journal, the source and the applicable licence.

Copyright and licensing information will be clearly displayed on each published article.

• Authors are acutely aware that plagiarism is both unlawful and unethical, recognising it as the appropriation of another individual's ideas or published works while falsely claiming them as one's own.
• Authors assert that all contributions to their article or project have been recognised and that sources from both published and unpublished works of others have been properly mentioned and referenced.
• The author(s) affirm that they are exclusively accountable for the content of the article and the associated work, including any incomplete references.

Authorship

Due recognition of others' contributions must be provided consistently. Authors must delineate their duties and contributions in the study publication. Authorship must be restricted to individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the reported research. The acquisition of financing, data collecting, or general oversight of the study group alone does not warrant authorship. The corresponding author must verify that all suitable co-authors are included in the manuscript, excluding any unsuitable co-authors, and that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the paper, as well as consented to its submission for publication.

• Significant contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND.
• Composing the work or conducting a critical revision for significant intellectual substance; AND.
• Final endorsement of the version for publication; AND Agreement to assume responsibility for all facets of the work, ensuring that enquiries concerning the accuracy or integrity of any component are thoroughly examined and addressed.

All authors must fulfil the aforementioned conditions

In accordance with COPE rules, the Journal mandates that any modifications to the author list post-submission, including the addition or removal of authors or alterations in the sequence of authors, must be made with the written approval of each author of the manuscript. Written confirmation must be sent to the editorial office before any alterations in authorship for a paper.

The author must affirm that neither this manuscript nor any substantially identical work authored by them has been published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere, save as outlined in the cover letter. The International Journal of Advanced Medicine and Public Health utilises the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license for the works it publishes (refer to the human-readable summary or the complete legal code of the license). Under this license, authors maintain copyright ownership of their content while permitting others to download, reuse, reprint, alter, distribute, and/or reproduce the content, provided that the original authors and source are acknowledged. No authorisation is necessary from the authors or the publishers. Proper attribution can be achieved by merely referencing the source article. Users must explicitly state the licensing terms under which a work was released for any reuse or redistribution. This comprehensive license was created to provide free access to and unlimited reuse of original works of many kinds. Implementing this standard license on your work will guarantee its perpetual free and open accessibility.

Research sources and financial contributions that may suggest a conflict of interest must be recognised and reported upon submission of the manuscript.

Given the extensive public access to the International Journal of Medicine and Public Health, ethical and legal imperatives require the preservation of patient anonymity. Research publications must demonstrate informed consent for procedures and the ethics committee's approval, evidence of which may be required during the paper's review process.

Manuscripts must adhere to the "Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals" as outlined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (October 2006) at www.icmje.org. Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word format [details provided below], formatted in a single column on A4-sized pages exclusively. All articles, produced in accordance with the Manuscript Instructions, must be submitted exclusively via the "Online Manuscript Submission Portal.

• 1.5 line spacing
• Margins of 2.5 cm on all four sides
• Utilise Times New Roman, size 12 font.
• Single space between two characters.
• The title page includes all the essential information (see above).
• The abstract page includes the complete title of the manuscript.
• Abstract submission is limited to 150 words for case reports and 250 words for original publications.
• A structured abstract is included for an original article.
• Abbreviations must be defined at first usage and employed consistently afterward.
• Supplied keywords (three to five). Keywords must correspond to the terms enumerated in the medical subject headings (MeSH) of the Index Medicus.
• Headings in title case (neither ALL CAPITALS nor underlined)
• References cited in superscript within the text.
• References in accordance with the journal's guidelines.
• The citation format must adhere to the Vancouver style, both inside the text and in the reference list at the conclusion of the article.

Language and grammar

• Consistently British English
• To prevent avoidable mistakes, it is highly recommended that you utilise the spellchecker.
• Abbreviations are fully articulated upon initial mention
• Numbers one through ten written in words
• Numerals at the commencement of a sentence are written in words.

• Avoid redundancy of data in tables, graphs, and text.
• Actual data from which graphs are derived, supplied

• Legends for figures must be succinct, comprising no more than 40 words.
• A credit note for the supplied borrowed figures/tables.

Title: Short, meaningful, and interesting, preferably not more than 12 words (or 72 characters) in length.

Authors and affiliations: Full name, qualifications, designation, and institutional affiliation of all authors, complete postal address, contact number and e-mail ID of the corresponding author.

Abstract: Stating the purpose(s) of the study or investigation, basic procedures and methodology, important findings, and principal conclusions. Emphasis should be on new and important aspects of the study or observations—no references allowed.

The introduction should provide a brief, clear account of the problem's background and state the objectives of the work. Only previous work that has a direct bearing on the present problem should be cited.

The methods utilised must be defined with such specificity to enable an experienced investigator to interpret and replicate the results. References and a concise summary must accompany published methods. The statistical tools employed for data analysis must be specified. The description of medications, chemicals, and other products must encompass the names and concise addresses of the pertinent providers. Pharmaceutical designations must adhere to International Non-proprietary Names (INN). If a medicine lacks an International Nonproprietary Name (INN), its complete chemical designation must be utilised. All procedures involving experimental animals or human beings must include a statement of ethical approval from the relevant ethics commission.

International Journal of Medicine and Public Health encourages authors to follow the reporting guidelines during manuscript preparation. The relevant guidelines are listed.

Present your results in a logical sequence in the text, tables, and figures, giving the main or most important findings first. Do not repeat in the text all the data in the tables or figures; emphasise or summarise only important observations.

Quantify findings wherever feasible and present them with suitable markers of measurement error or uncertainty, such as confidence intervals. Authors must document losses to observation, including withdrawals from a clinical trial. In the Results section, delineate the statistical approaches employed for data analysis. Clarify statistical terminology, acronyms, and predominant symbols. Identify the computer software utilised. Utilise upper italics (P 0.048). For all P values, provide the precise value, ensuring it is not less than 0.05 or 0.001.

The objective of the discussion is to provide a concise and relevant analysis of the results in relation to established knowledge. All assumptions underlying the results must be explicitly articulated. The primary conclusions must be articulated in a concluding paragraph that explicitly details how the study advances knowledge and understanding within the discipline.

For contributions that need acknowledging but do not justify authorship, with prior permission from the persons being acknowledged. Limit to ten.

Authors are advised to utilise colour to enhance the effectiveness and clarity of numbers further. The use of colour in the International Journal of Advanced Medicine and Public Health incurs no fee. Please mark the panels or components of the figure using A, B, C, etc., for figures provided in parts. Label your figure files as "Figure" followed by the figure number; for instance, "Figure 1: Liver enzyme levels." To ensure optimal quality of the final output, it is strongly advised that you submit all artwork images, line drawings, and related materials in an electronic format. Images prepared for publishing must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at the final size. A lower resolution will lead to pixelation and diminished image quality. Submissions must be in JPEG or TIFF format.

Figure legends must be typed on a distinct page of the primary manuscript copy. Legends must elucidate the figures with adequate detail so that, whenever feasible, they can be comprehended independently of the text. Legends, captions, and labels must align with the vocabulary or nomenclature employed in the text.

Authors will receive information about payment of publication fees at the time of acceptance of the article. The publication fee must be paid only if your article is accepted for publication. The authors will receive the payment link via email.

IJAMPH will not refund the Publication Charges Charges once an article has been accepted and published.
